  • I mean this is extra cosmetics, and its not like they can't do these cosmetics and other cosmetics at the same time/later. not to mention it's not very intensive, should be a quick production. No new models, and repurposed assets re-shaded, and recolored. it would take a bit longer for newer killers but still less time than a whole new skin. And it would allow you to cash in your devotion like a resource.

If you are 80 devotion you have so much time invested anything they give "you" is going to feel like a drop in the bucket. For me them releasing a new endgame weapon in Warfame(3200 hours) is functionally saying ooh I get to spend 5 minutes grabbing it and 15 maxing it. big deal. Most new content in any game isn't going to do much for the extreme fan, and it isn't aimed to as it would be nearly impossible to make content at a rate to keep them sated.

I'm right there with you on the reduced grind though, can't wait.

There is quite a simple reason.
The BP are the incentive for killers to take the perk

The aura effect is incentive for killers not to camp (requested by surivovr btw)

Next patch the devs mess around with the aura effect and nerf BBQ really hard, btu this will also bring back more camping in return. Thats the problem with your wishes, they will fall back on you if youre not careful

See I didn't know that was a survivor request, as I said, only had the game 2 months, but in those two months high rank has gotten stale making me wish for the reset to play each time. I do like the nerf to BBQ that's coming up in a way, but I feel it's hurting the perk unnecessarily, if it were not so common the nerf wouldn't be called for.

If the blood points are the incentive not to camp then why don't they resolve that like they did recently with the emblems, they could increase base blood point gains on killers then show an icon on your screen if you are too close to a hooked survivor and if you remain there too long it lights up letting you know your bloodpoints are being reduced the longer you stay there provided there is no survivor also there.

This would let the killer know that it's bad to do that by penalizing camping, as well as open up other perks to be used alongside or in lieu of BBQ because all killers gain a little more points without needing BBQ meaning high rank killers don't have to go nurse or billy to take full advantage of the perk to farm.

What if when a survivor is hooked your teammates are revealed to you for 3 seconds. It could work well with WGLF as it could show you if you need to be the one to make the unhook.

this is an idea in the works anyway, a kind of Kindred for survivors as a base ability from what I heard.

And again, Ryuhi I am not crying BBQ OP, it is fine, I just would like some more diversity in what I play against. It goes the same way playing killer, I hate having to take BBQ every game to feel like I'm actually getting blood points when there are other more interesting perk combinations to try.

If a perk, item, or character ever becomes mandatory or used universally in a game that usually says there is something wrong in the balance department. I think as a perk its fine, and the problem is that it feels like you have to take it to get points at a reasonable rate, leading to it being the most played perk. So take away some of the points and add some to other "fun play" incentivizing perks to add diversity if it's really only on BBQ to promote that.

  • I just feel like having BBQ as the only perk that gives blood points stifles the perk diversity. Its not that the aura reading is OP, its just that its in every game because its the only perk that also gives blood points. And as Billy and Nurse are the most capable of taking advantage of it, high rank players who are farming seem to play them and run it exclusively. Maybe make it cap at 25% and gives a handful of other "good sportsmanship" supporting perks 25% extra to add up to 100% if you take all four?
