This is a little bit of a rant.

So this one player. I had no high hopes with him bc he got hooked first and tried to unhook. Struggle phase in the first minute of the match. But hey he didnt kill himself.

Then he survived another 5 minutes. Then he got insta downed bc i as ghostface had him 99 from stalking. Died, not the best, not the worst match for a survivor.

But then this message: Another cheater reported. A bit stupid on ps4, i know, but i thought new players know not much. But no the survivor was rank 5.

I tried to explain it to him, but no i was a camper and a tryhard too and i dont know how to play the game like the real youtubers. (What does this even mean?)

Its ok that we have so many players in high ranks who dont know the basics (they need a tutorial), but why do they think they are right and should spam PMs and reports like a maniac.

How do you talk to them?

I just leave those people be clearly they are just 10 year olds who think that you need to play fair and let them win and im of the opinion that in a legit match, during real matchmaking (ie no SWF or intentionally depiping your killer) that if all is fair that that survivor did not truly deserve to be so high and that your really just making his matchmaking better because clearly he wasnt of your skill level and therefor should be lower in rank to be around people of his skill level. Just let them be

You already have Borrowed Time as a anti-camping measure. As for this request, you already have it in the form of Camaraderie.

Borrowed Time is an anti tunnel perk not an anti camp perk. If they were to add something it would have to be like Monstrous Shrine, where if the killer was within 10 m of a hooked survivor then the entity sacrifice rate is slowed by 3% 6% 9%, OR instead of that give the survivor an extra 3% 4% 5% chance to unhook themselves while within 10 or 15 m of the killer. Red rank killers know how to play and not be campy which is where i reside in the red ranks, but it is a problem when i play SWF with higher ranking survivors (green ranking) where i get face camped and it sucks so having a perk like this would be good. Another thing they could do if they didnt want to add a new perk would be to punish killers bloodpoints for distance to hook more. if the survivor gets unhooked within 10 m then they should get moderately less bloodpoints than if they were outside that 10 m range.

No, at red ranks is a key fest escape, and rn i decided to don't play for this reason

As a rank 1 survivor who plays on the official DBD discord server in SWF i can 100% tell you that i havnt had a key brought in and used to escape in the last 2 maybe 3 months. Ya we have found a few keys in chests and were forced to use them to escape, especially if the doors were really close together and the killer found and closed hatch, but while i think that they are broken for the ability to open hatch maybe make it so that its an ultra rare addon to be able to open the hatch or something like that but i would not say that at red ranks we use keys to escape. We either get the gens done really fast and escape through the exits, or its a long game that ends up being a hatch game with only 1 survivor escaping.

  • As a survivor main, i believe that with the nerf to mori's that they also need to nerf keys. Everyone knows that keys are the survivors version of the mori and both are overpowered already. If not outright deleting them giving them more of a rework than just making them second hook now instead of first hook. They should have released the nerfs at the same time because now killers are outraged that keys are still OP yet the mori is not anymore.

  • I know this is very late but for all the new players i would say you should probably play survivor to start so that you can learn the game and how things work. You learn playing killer by playing survivor and vice versa you learn playing survivor by playing killer. You might also want to grind up a lot of bloodpoints and dump them into getting one solid build on a strong killer. For me i played a TON of survivor and if you run perks like We're gonna live forever (David King) you get double bloodpoints, or running into a SWF survivor to stack bloodpoint offerings with other people trying to do the same thing as you so that you can spend your hard earned bloodpoints on your killer until you get a full purple loadout. Once you can do that on your selected killer (you probably want to start with someone easy i started with PIG) and slowly learn how to run things. you will then start ranking up very fast especially if you have good knowledge of them game by playing survivor and knowing their strategies, then you should have no problem progressing into the purple ranks very fast and if you play enough then into the red ranks.
