If I have 1 piece of advice for you that will help you in every game you will ever play: Search for the fun parts in a game and dont focus on the unfun parts. If you think playing killer is stressful its because you are trying too hard to win. Just choose Huntress and learn to aim with your hatchets. Try to play a few games as Leatherface patrolling your basement and standing in a corner of the basement with insidious after you down and hook someone in it. Try out trapper for a few games establishing a parameter around 3 Gens and try to defend those to the best of your ability. Go for a full slug build (noed, dh, make your choice and deerstalker). There are lots of things you can do in this game that are fun to some and not so fun for others but it doesnt have to revolve around winning or loosing.
Now to actually respond to your concerns: Yes survivors will not fear you ... Borrowed Time Survivors will unhook right in front of your face immidiatly after you hooked someone, Balanced Landing Survivors will infinitly loop you in certain spots if you play a M1 killer. Mettle of Man is just straight up ######### no point talking about that one. But the most evil survivors will use Object of Obsession in a swf team essentially giving the whole team wallhacks if you dont go for the 1 survivor with the perk or taunt you until you finally relent and tunnel him only so the remaining 3 can block the hook after you finally downed him. Yes swf is the most broken and frustrating thing in my opinion especially at high ranks and it will NOT be fixed so the only thing I can recommend is dodging or playing with mad grit.
Bloodlust is a crutch and not something you should play around since its unreliable. (resets if you loose the chase which happens if loose sight or if the distance gets too big, resets on pallet stuns and breaks, resets on ability usage)
If you really want to go all in on Bloodlust chase a survivor towards a corner of the map where you know there are no safe pallets left.
Flashlights are utterly and completly useless ... I dont even bother looking at walls anymore since you will not drop the survivor after pickup if you immidiatly look up. Yes you will loose vision for a second but that hardly matters and gives survivors a false sense of security since they will not drop certain pallets expecting a flashlight safe (Killer shack pallet for example). Survivors will also try to blind you while you are breaking pallets which also does nothing since you can easily predict where they plan on going and it doesnt actually stun you just makes you loose vision.
Swf control the game, lone survivors barely do anything at all after you sacrificed or killed the first one. Yes maybe people will whine at you in chat for tunneling or camping and im not saying you have to tunnel or camp. What im trying to say is that you are guaranteed to loose the game if 4 man are alive when all gens are done no matter if your facing swf or not.
Survivor Items are really good on their own. Killer Addons have more potential with the right perks. Thats probably the reason why you think that survivor addons are better. You just dont have the right perks to complete your build on x killer yet. ALSO Killers get to use Moris which instantly wins you the game 90% of the time.
Coordinated Perk teams goes back to swf beeing beyond broken so yea thats just a thing every killer has to live with, thankfully 4 man swf teams dont happen all that often.
Totem spawns are random ... Ive had a few games where I beelined my ruin just to see it break right as I get to it. Ive also had a few games where survivors couldnt find the ruin until the game was over or where I managed to get 3 hooks because the 1 or 2 survivors that knew where my totem was went back on my ruin the second they got unhooked giving me easy kills. Turns out RNG in competetive games sucks.
Looping is heavily reliant on RNG aswell ... sometimes you get looped 3 times until you realise that you will never catch up, sometimes you chase the survivor as he walks into a dead end. Dont commit too hard unless you want to be disappointed. Its much easier hitting a survivor that doesnt see you coming or hitting someone that tried to hide. I also recommend leaving the jungle gyms alone and just falling back to a corner of the map where youve already broke a few pallets.
RNG in maps aswell. Sometimes you get "The Game " for an easy 4k and sometimes you get absolutly destroyed. Happens to everyone.
Survivors often get as many or more more points than you do . . . what? 2 things wrong with that sentence:
- Its simply not true ... unless your let all the survivors escape and eat every pallet they throw at you.
- Why is that even a valid concern ... I couldnt care less how many points the survivors actually make. I think bbq makes killers objectively superior for BP farming and if the 1 escaping survivor actually has more points than me, props to that guy.
Sorry for the slightly delayed wall of text but I felt like this was the perfect time for one of my BIG BRAIN moments ^^ Add me @76561198085427416 (steam ID)
