Full man slug is more of a show of skill then a early game tunnel?
Ive been versing a lot of killers that are deliberately trying to go for 4 man slug no hooks rather then doing any hooking last few months compared to how uncommon it used to be prior
It is a bore to verse but I feel like it takes signifyingly more skill to do a 4 man slug then it is to tunnel someone out early, I have versed a lot of killers trying to slug who would of gotten better results just hooking.
too me slugging you never feel in the unwinnable situation (bar exceptions such as aura nurse or a really unmatched team but that's on team not killer) like you do with tunneling as a survivor because everyone is getting slugged AND after a few slugs you can abandon if the killer is struggling to 4 man slug to prox that abandon (all tho in all honesty I've had more matches where team is giving up because of a tunnel vs using abandon because people where slugged multiple times).
vs tunneling majority of the time one guy just dies early and you are kind of just stuck in a 3v1 until everyone dies either slowly trying to grind out gens or fast because people start to give up.
I'm curious what others think as both are heavily disliked playstyles in the community but I honestly think full man slugging takes significantly more skill.

I'm not a fan of either playstyle as I don't think they're particularly fun to go for nor face, but I'm going to say it depends.
If you don't bring perks that complement 4-man slugging, it's going to be a lot harder. Likewise, a lot of tunnelling killers drop any chase that's slightly hard to find the one survivor on the team that can't handle the pressure of being tunnelled, then go for them.
I agree with all that, But I think its much easier for a team as whole to come back from slugging if they are competent vs tunnel can feel like no chance even if you are decent in chase.
a early tunnel out that's one less person on gen for whole match
where as slugging you can leave them there for a decent amount of time, get gen done then go pick up while killer is trying to slug others (granted this only helps if team isn't going down constantly but at that point they playing good even if they where hooking normally would be winning)
Tunneling is definitely lower risk, especially if you look for the weak link. I still think it depends. Experienced survivors are going to respond better to slugging and you pose the risk of failing to progress the gamestate at all while also wasting significant time. The act of a 4-man slug itself is less the skill vs knowing when it's time to full commit it. So I still feel like it depends.
So in general you are never 4 man slugging people of equal skill. If you get the 4 man slug they were either just way less skilled than you or they just had a bad game and made many, many mistakes. Contrary to probably popular opinion 4 man slugging actually takes a lot of skill. I'd argue even more than playing normally with how much more micromanaging you're forced to do and how sink or swim it is. If you mess up at all everything is completely reset and you having nothing to show for it. Like a win streak of 4 slugs is more impressive to me than a win streak of playing normally. In this games current design that heavily punishes hooking to where slugging is generally just the better choice I still find it more impressive because while stronger it's also not working if you're a bad killer. You could pull off more wins playing normally as a bad killer than playing for 4 man slug as a bad killer. 4 man slugging is also requiring you to juggle 4 people ALL game. Which is high skill. Hence why people tunnel so they don't have to manage this.
To contrast this, tunneling to me actually removes significant amounts of skill from the game to where I don't really consider win streaks valid if that's what it took to get them since to me it's cheesing the wins. The entire point of win streaks are to show skill and to me tunneling is removing that skill and getting wins you didn't really earn.
Just my opinion.
