Why does killer have aim assist on people that hanged

I don’t understand why people get saved when I’m clearly lunging at the person saving rather then the one that is already hung and I get punished for hitting them.

You're referring to hitting the surv as they're being unhooked when you are going for the surv doing the unhooking, and at that moment they have i-frames. This has been in the game forever it seems. For some reason it priorities the surv being saved with these hits. Can be supremely frustrating.

If I had to guess its because the lunge hitbox is a cone that goes out and starts out at eye level. Since a Survivor on a hook is higher up, it will prioritize them.

All you have to do tho is lunge around and flick to the Survivor thats unhooking.

  • The short forced M1 attack bug, that can steal hits from the killer, will forbid a killer from lunging if the game decides the killer is “too close” to a survivor. In this scenario, you are forced into making short M1 attacks because you are close to an hooked survivor, and you are forbidden from lunging around the hooked survivor.

In addition, aim assist can forcibly yank your camera towards a hooked survivor.

It's especially funny if that survivor is being sacrificed; one second Spirit is zeroing in on you, the next she is "WAH!"-ing the sky

Flicks are kinda unheard of with a controller and console fps...
