3 SWF survivors DC one right after the other, 1 DCs right before he is counted as a sacrifice on hook
and i get depipped because of it.
why is this a thing?

It's because the emblem system is garbage, and they somehow don't ruthlessly ban players for disconnecting.
it is ridiculous that this can be exploited to this extent
