Memo: Will 2 Kill
The most important at first: i talk about "killing" ingame of DbD :)
Actually if i start a game as trapper or pig, the following happens:
i start on my starting-location with the will to get them all. Someone step in my trap or i find someone at a gen and i chase her/him until the survivor smells the dirt.
After i hooked the suvivor ...
... as Pig, then i go away and search the next one, because i want to deliver a gameplay without camping and without tunneling.
... as Trapper, then i set a trap near to the hook and go away to search the next one. Also as trapper i want to deliver a gameplay without camping or tunneling.
If you now maybe ask: If you want not camp or tunnel, why you set a trap there? My answer is: this trap is just ment as giving the saviour or the unhooked survivor the possibility to disarm the trap for bloodpoints. And it is ment as extra bloodpoints for me by setting the trap and maybe bloodpoints for due to the saviour or unhooked survivor will step in it before or after the save.
Whatever happens, i will not return to this hook. Maybe just after a few minutes to grab my trap.
Recently it happened, that a injured Steve rescued another Steve with same clothes from the hook. Both of them ran into me while i chased a squeaky Feng Min. As i wanted to hit the Feng Min, i have hit the Steve instead and he was down.
But no ... no no no ... i could see in the left bottom corner at the nicknames -> it was the fresh unhooked Steve! I do not want to tunnel at all. What i have done now, will maybe drive some killermains crazy: i picked him up and let him fall 3 times to free him. On principle.
Would i have downed the another Steve, i would have hooked him, for sure, i promise.
In another match, i managed to hook all 4 survivors with my common uncamping and untunneling playstyle. Survivor number four managed to get selfrescued from hook. I hunted her down again, but you probably already suspect it: just for bloodpoints. I wanted to honor the 4%-chance and let her get free.
Said how done ... while the long long chase, the other 3 survivors died on hook. And the long chased Jane was maybe sure: "Now i will die too, the round is over. No more bloodpoints for me, not even for fighting against the stings, cauz the sting will immediatly impale me. Does not matter that i was not phase 2."
Non of that what this Jane thought happened. I carried her to the next exit, hit the exit-switch with my glowing blade and i let her wiggle free. Jane opened the exit while i waited in respectable distance. Maybe you think now like this Jane too: "For sure he will prank me by let me open the exit but downing and hooking me nevertheless."
Also this not happened. I let her escape and nod with my head up and down to say byebye Jane.
Every start of a round i have the iron will to kill them all. But then happen things like described above or i let even escape them for no reason. Or just to honor their good gameplay.
Am i missing my will to kill? Maybe yes. I am survivor main who wants to become a trapper-main and/or pig-main. Maybe i will never reach rank 1 with my non-camping and non-tunneling playstyle or with my other decisions like to honor the 4%.
But it does not matter for me. For me matters just to deliver a fair gameplay. My attitude is not just thinking about myself in terms of bloodpoints. Behind every survivor is a person who also wants to have fun with the game and bloodpoints.
It does not matter if i kill only 0, 1, 2, 3 or very rarely all 4 survivors. I aim for a funny game for all participants. However many kills will always be on my results list, i'll have had fun and the survivors too.
So we could say: i have no iron will 2 kill. I just have the will 2 have fun and deliver fun :)
I wish a good day
With friendly Greetings from Germany
