Can only be used up to 5 times

You need to destroy a totem

You need to find a locker

Available from a dlc survivor

Iron maiden counters it

Hex: thrill of the hunt counters it

Destroying multiple totems does not stack healing

  • I prefer inner strength because I find self care way too long while you can do it in 8 seconds with inner strength or get healed by a teammate at a much faster rate. Plus, many people like to run sloppy butcher and that BUTCHERS self care by making it feel forever.

  • Most people say, Self-Care is more off a bad habit then a good perk, and they not wrong. A Med-Kit does a way better job, and so i a teammate. Also Adrenaline trumps Selfcare. Same with Inner Strength.

    So the obvious answer for me is: Inner Strength tops Selfcare

  • I like Inner Strength more, because it can be used as a safety measure for EGC whe you may not find anyone to heal you. Before this perk i did totems anyway so this is no different, however, i would need to conserve it more now because it doesn't stack. Which is fine, most games I'm the only one doing totems(It feels that way sometimes), unless there's a hex then everyone is doing them.
