Bad Teammates Lately
Have any of you guys had an increase in horrible teammates lately?? And I don’t mean horrible in the sense that their bad at the game I mean horrible in sense that they just do whatever they want or DC. These last few days I have come across so many survivors who DC first knock, crouch around the map the entire time doing no gens, totems, saves, healing. Others who throw down every pallet they see to attract the killer and then DC when they show up. Had a game where 2 people went for 1 save and both of them got hit so they both DCd.
It wouldnt be so bad if this were happening like every now and then because of course you’re gonna run across a holes etc time to time but it’s pretty much every game. What’s also frustrating is I’m Rank 8 getting put with rank 17-20 survivors who are not good at all and the killer will be around rank 5 or more often rank 17-20 as well. That matchmaking seems extremely broken to me.
I understand its just a game etc but when it’s consistently an issue it starts to become irritating and upsetting at how much people don’t care, don’t wanna try, give up so easily, or intentionally ruin the game for everyone just because they can. I personally think their needs to be an Avoid Player option in the game. I honestly don’t care if it’ll make my queue time longer I’d rather have that than have a game be ruined so to some troll or tilted survivors who DC on first knock and so on.

I have seen it as killer and when playing solo survivor quite frequently. Usually people d/c when they get knocked down first, hooked first, or don't like the killer.
1) yes.. for the past few days i have also noticed an uptick of new users that legit have no clue how to play the game..
2) most available resources on how to play the game are currently more focused on chain-stuns than helping newer players learn to play, so who knows how long these people could take to naturally figure out a better flow of the game, much less one that other people would like as a teammate.. good news is, it's pretty much always been like this.. how you play the game is determined by your experiences and the people that you personally have played with. even if you watched some other people play differently and got some ideas, it's up to you to mold them into your actual play style over time.
3) the game has the "avoid player" feature.. it sucks but i constantly have to leave lobbies because i don't want to play with a group full of blendettes looking ready to enjoy hiding the match away.. sometimes i have to leave many lobbies in a row before i find a game that looks like it may be worth playing.. even in those cases, i still have really bad games.. it's been like that as long as i've been playing and i'm near 5k hours in game..
the approach i take with those players is trying to convince them to come do something, and it actually does work on people if you're patient or a-holey enough, but ultimately if they insist on playing a game that i wasn't trying to play there's a hook waiting on me.. ez. on to the next one. not every game can be a winner, and in any game you're at best 25% of what it takes to get things done.. if there's not another 25% worth player in the game, sometimes it's best to just move on..
