Losing Items when Killer Disconnects?

How is this not fixed already?

I brought in a med-kit to help heal myself and out of nowhere the killer rage quits.

I'm back in my lobby and my med-kit is gone?

I've lost so many items that I've escaped with but somehow at the end of the match it tells me that I've lost the item when I've clearly escaped with it.

I just want to know how is this not brought up to the Devs and why is it still a problem?
