Is Ghostface just a worse Plague?
People keep telling me that high rank players don't cleanse against Plague. And she's STILL weak apparently despite everyone being broken all game. Because of pallet looping?
So...... does Ghostface's Stealth really make such a difference that he is a good killer? It seems like once people get used to him he'll just get looped all game. And it's not like Myers, Pig, or Wraith is uber top tier. So why do some people think Ghostface is different?

Everyone said Plague was poo because no one cleansed so everyone is M1 1 shot 24/7.
The only difference is plague can't remove tr or red stain but can become a ranged killer if they do cleanse

Not a worse Plague, a worse myers.
Ghost is stronger, since he can 99% like myers (if you're careful) and is very stealthy. Plague has no way to follow up onon the broken status, but ghostface can follow up on exposed much easier since he can get really close before being een if careful.
@AetherBytes Good luck doing that last bit after the hotfix if detection perks aren't nerfed against him.
Just Run OoO and warn your teammates where he is all the time then loop him to death when he realizes you're ratting him out.
The ability to control your red stain makes him slightly better than Plague.
Until his nerf that is.
Stealth on it's own isn't that big of a deal, we've seen it before after all.
However, what IS a big deal is being able to attack while in stealth. The only Killers who can do that right now are Myers who has a reduced lunge and MS during stealth and Spirit who can't see and doesn't have very long duration of stealth (and isn't even all that stealthy).
Wraith, Pig and Freddy all need to preform a channel before hitting you (although the pig's is pretty short)
Against someone who can hit you from stealth, being a one shot down is more dangerous than it normally is. This is because with any other Killer (such as the Plague) if they try to hit you to down you then you can just see them coming and run. With a Killer like T1 Myers he might sometimes get a free hit off you, however he's loopable so you can just run away and heal up before he can get the 2nd hit off.
However, Ghostface can instadown you from stealth. Thus he doesn't need to be good at loops in order to succeed (in theory) since he can simply walk up and down you before you even have the chance to start running.
All of this works because his stealth doesn't have a downside and is not mutually exclusive with his instadown. In fact what you can do is 99% the player you are stalking and then approach before you mark them so they don't get the last second warning before it's too late.
Ghostface is much better than Plague. People are really underestimating how much not having a TR affects survivor positioning, especially when you bring instadowns into play. I've run into a lot of standard Ghostface players that constantly get broken out of stealth and get looped, but still have the instadown and Enduring/Spirit Fury. I've also run into some really skilled red rank Ghostface players who can stalk, do it quickly, not be seen, and be on you without you knowing it. Those games don't last long.
The kind of game where you have the survivors looking around and then out of the darkness behind them they get grabbed and pulled into the dark? Spoopy.
