Ghost Face Is a Survivor's Bloodpoint Farm (& How To Fix Him)

You get Boldness points for breaking his stealth.

And you can break Ghostface's stealth by thinking about him.

Seriously, his power is a completely garbage Pig; lose your TR until a Survivor maybe kind of glances somewhere in your general direction for 0.00000000005ths of a second. Then it's on a FIFTEEN SECOND COOLDOWN.

Why is the CD stupidly long? Why do Survivors get any sort of control over it!?

Survivors want to do everything they can to STOP the Killer. This would be like saying 'Now the Hillbilly has to refuel his chainsaw to use it more than once..But the Survivors have to knock over gas cans so he can do so'. No survivor is going to knock over a single gas can.

No Survivor should EVER have control over a Killer's power. This is really bad balance.

(Seriously; the Survivors have a 360 view that they can use while doing any other action. Having a view-based counter is OP to the ever-loving MAX since they can see anywhere and everywhere AND THERE'S FOUR OF THEM. That's four sets of 360 degree eyesight in 4 different areas any any time.)

My Fixes:

The stealth IS NOT broken by being daydreamed about on an idle summer's evening. Or by being looiked at. At all. If it's not OP for Pig, it's not OP for Ghost Face.

Instead, the stalker bar cannot fill up (but does not degrade), if a Survivor is in an active chase with the Killer. If the Survivor gets away, the stalker bar rapidly depletes. (As it does right now if they so much as think he's maybe somewhere in the same zip code & and up breaking his stealth.)

Ghostface cannot go into his stealth mode while in a chase.

His stealth mode goes on SIX SECOND cooldown only once he leaves a chase. None of this impossibly high 15 second tripe that makes him utter trash.

  • A reminder that he is bugged on the ptb, his stealth is not intended to break instantly.

No, but the stealth break is 1 second normally. You can still spin your camera to get him, just slower.

It should not break at all.

This is a terrible mechanic and this idea that every Killer needs a built-in counter is one that the Devs need to stop. The last few Killers. which have built-in counters, have all been 100% awful.

    The Devs need. To. STOP.

Make a good Killer and don't give them a Survivor-controlled power. Seriously.

I can say with certainty that I will NEVER buy another Killer so long as the Survivors get to control the Killer's power. The Plague burned me on recent Killers. No more money.
