Legion Mend Bug - why?

Why are players getting banned for a bug that the devs still have not patched yet - it's been in the game for a while and even with this information - the addons are not even disabled.

Why should players who may or may not intentionally use this bug or use addons that they don't know can cause a bug because not every player is going to be on the forums.

Players should NOT get banned for the mistakes the devs have done, theres many other options like disable the addons, find a fix/hotfix for it but no, just ban players instead?

I get why they want to hand out bans for it. But I just feel bad for the people that just plays the game and doesn't keep up with the community. They could get a ban and not know why.
