Plague's BIGGEST weakness is that Vile pretty much doesn't do anything to slow down the game. It inflicts Broken but when you get good survivors they just rush gens while Broken and can still loop you pretty hard in most spots, denying you Corrupt in the process.

This is why you need an Apple. Apples start the game with 1 fountain already Corrupt. Once survivors are Broken you collect the fountain. Doing this FORCES them to use more fountains, as getting chased by Corrupt Plague while injured is going to end very quickly. Once they use the fountains you can cycle between making them sick and then taking a Corrupt fountain.

So far this is one of the most effective Plague tactics I've found.
