Look at "Developer Activities" it says they are going to PAX East soon. (March 28th) after this event has passed surely everything will work itself out.
All we need to do is wait, 'course with the matchmaking revert we're already waiting but nothing is perfect.
The vast majority of the team is still in the office working on updates. It's mostly the community side of the team that's attending PAX this year. The people working on the matchmaking aren't leaving. The new matchmaking system was reverted for the time being because it seemed to be causing more issues than in solved (very long queues for some, mismatched ranks, high pings, etc.). It's going to be tweaked some more an reintroduced once it's ready.

I really hope they make a good announcement at PAX East. I doubt it though.
Regardless, I can't do anything else except for waiting so lets see what will happen.
I think they might announce Ash there, since everyone's assuming he'll be a standalone survivor it would be very likely for him to be announced there.
It has been really odd, there seems to have been no official comments from anyone on the crew whatsoever these past few days...
@Supernaut They've been gone. Mcote has been gone since GDC.
Now Dave, Queen and more are headed to Pax. Hopefully the silence will be worth it with what they show/say. If they say anything.
