Design Every Killer Like Michael Myers
Michael Myers is perfect from a design standpoint. He has weakness, and he has strengths. You can play him with addons or without addons.
His addons let him pick different playstyles, all of which can be viable or fun to use in a meme build.
Now, let's look at The Plague!
Possible playstyles:
. Pseudo-leatherface (Go either cooldown reduction or vomit effectiveness, then tunnel until down, then hook, rinse and repeat) VIABLE!
. Plague spreader (Infect everyone by breaking chases when near uninfected survivors, then begin killing) Not viable.
. Object infector (Infect key objectives/chokepoints to slow progress) Not viable.
. Super corrupt purge (Faster movement speed, long corrupt purge duration) Not viable.
. Vanilla (No addons) Not viable.
. Ultra rare mode (using both ultra rare addons) Absolutely not viable.
tl;dr by making the proper adjustments to a killer's addons, by incorporating strengths and weaknesses, you can incentivize different playstyles.

There is so much you can do with him I love it!
Plague Spreader is viable because your goal is to get everyone sick so they go to the fountains. There are only 7 fountains so when everyone cleanses once that only leaves 3 open fountains and the plague then has tons of corruptions to use.
Super corrupt purge is viable when you focus of shorter vomits in chases to get people down when you have corrupted purge up.
Plague without perks is viable and without addons she's still viable. You just have to do the work.
Her ultra rare addons give her aura reading every time a survivor vomits and gives her corrupted purge everytime a generator is completed at the cost of movement speed when holding corrupted purge and duration. This actually makes her quite strong in short bursts and punishes survivors for finishing gens. Plus she still gets to pull from fountains.
I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that she was lacking in viability. The only thing that isn't viable that you were correct on is object infection. As a main mode of play, it isn't viable. It's more of a strat you add in to other playstyles.
