Rank Reset needs an adjustment
As it stands, rank reset is a meme. The original intentions of letting players that took a break come back and refresh their skills at lower levels are noble, but not being realized. Right now rank reset does a host of things. But none of them are inviting for returning players.
Firstly: It's frustrating players. Lower ranked players are mad because rank resets right before they reach their rank goals. And Higher ranked players feel like the reset make's their rank arbitrary.
Secondly: It's absolutely destroying lobby times at higher ranks. It takes time to grind up to rank 1. Time is something some people have more of than others. Every month the lobby times get better, and then get much much worse. This is because near the end of the month people have gotten the rank they tend to stay at. Right before it gets reset.
Thirdly: It's frustrating lower skilled players. Because rank reset is a playground for Rank 1 players. With a little bit of prep right before the 13th, you can drop yourself down to rank 16 on reset day. I don't know how much fun you think those rank 16 survivors are having playing against rank 1 nurses. But I don't think it's much.
The fix is rather simple. Make your rank resets when you do large content releases. Like most other games. Or at least give your players 3 months. The first month will be people getting into their rank, and the next two months let people actually play at their rank.

Hi. Fairly casual player here (102 hours). I think there's no real point to the idea of longer rank reset, as long as nothing is done about the people who purposefully de-rank to bully the lower ranks because the pro bullies will de-rank anyways, removing themselves from the higher lobbies, and frustrating the lower players eitherway
I was thinking that a possible measure against purposeful deranking would be like a maximum number of ranks you can derank a day below your daily starting rank (maybe 2, or even 1). That might discourage de-ranking as it will take a longer time to do so.
