calm spirit has always supressed screams and crows it's always been better but no one uses it
I see these two perks as equal, and each one of them has a benefit.
You can use Calm Spirit, but you'll never know what perks or add-ons the killer is using against you to force you to scream. Calm Spirit is purely for stealth.
What makes Hardened unique is that it completely turns the tables on the killer and reveals the killer's location to you instead of the killer revealing your location, but at the cost of you fulfilling the Hardened requirement first.
We don't need illogical downsides to make perks perform the same function in order to make them different.
