While in the judgement's exile, what is the purpose of shining beams at the floating heads?

As its not very clear what it does through gameplay besides getting a tiny 10 points at a time.

    It increases the duration of the "unhook" protections you get when you exit Exile. I couldn't find how much one extends it by, but it really doesn't feel like much. Maybe half a second?

    It is 0.5 seconds extra per face you collect while in exile, yes
