Why isn't Gengrash removed from the game?
While playing as maniacs and killers and exploring the game itself, I had several questions about why gen rush is considered a completely adequate game mechanic when it ruins the balance of a game that already lacks balance. Let's take a situation where, at the start of a match, you're the killer, find a survivor, and start a chase. Let's assume the chase isn't too long, and you knock down the survivor. During this time, the other survivors have already started about 2 or 3 generators. It's considered reasonable for the game to punish for direct mechanics, and there's no need to write about learning to play better and so on. This trend is observed everywhere, especially at higher ranks, and even among strong players, this phenomenon is extremely common, looking at their games. In this post, I want to touch on the fairness of the current balance and justice, because many believe that gen rush is part of the game, and it's normal to forget such things as how killers are effectively hindered for game mechanics like camping. Many complain about camping, believing that this part of the gameplay shouldn't exist, although it's the same part of the game as gen rush. This raises the question of why BHVR is introducing the anti-camp system and is planning to implement the anti-tunneling system, effectively prohibiting the killer from using game mechanics and turning a blind eye. Gen Rush, which breaks the balance and is an abuse. I also believe the Gen Rush issue has led to a lack of skill variety in the game, forcing the Killer to choose skills solely for controlling generators and auras, thereby preventing them from realizing the full potential of other skills. And a simple question: why does the game punish the Killer for certain actions, while Survivors aren't penalized for the same actions? The game turns into a madhouse when, after arriving at a Gen, starting a chase, and moving away from the Gen, another wounded Survivor brazenly starts repairing a Generator, almost killing him. This is an exaggeration, of course, but why are Killers penalized for game mechanics, while Survivors aren't, indulging them. It's also worth mentioning that the developers are actively countering the Generator Control skill by nerfing them, and introducing new Generator Control perks with the same or even stronger nerfs, thereby simply trying to extract more resources from players and making nerfs to previous perks completely bizarre and pointless. Strategy like genrushing should definitely be stopped and survivors punished for such tactics.
