Black Banquet is not good
This event is truly GOD AWFUL in almost every way and a complete step down from the twisted masquerade before it. Just what were the devs thinking??? The event powers are so unbelievably survivor sided and make it so the killer can genuinely do nothing in chase. The foot is basically old deadhard without the invincibility, survivors can respawn all pallets and make them unbreakable to create genuine god loops for 60 seconds they can just run back to all the time and there's nothing you can do about it. They also can gain total invincibility after eating the food, which is INSANE because they can eat while in chase and it doesn't slow them down even a little bit. They can go invisible and teleport through portals to just completely evade and get out of chase for free. The ONLY thing the killers get is a dinky little poison bottle that gives the survivor a stamina bar and almost guarantees a hit after a couple seconds if the survivor is all alone. Not at all enough when the survivors get all of that! Killers don't even have a remote hook. It's not hard to get food and the survivors barely have to go out of their way to complete event side quests while the killer gets absolutely nothing in comparison. ALSO on top of all that, the survivors get a FREE MAPWIDE HEAL when they complete a banquet. The only global effect that is a strict benefit to the killers is a burst of speed after hooking from the foot. These are all cool ideas, yes, but it is STACKED in the survivors favor and the killers hardly get anything. Twisted Masquerade had cool and good effects for BOTH sides and had random map wide events that affected everyone with very few affecting one side. It's crazy how we went from that to this, a completely survivor sided event with minimal interactivity for the killer side while also being an arguable extreme humiliation ritual to anyone not already pro at killer. Every single update killer gets harder to play and harder for beginners and novices to get into and this event is the WORST time to try out killer. The survivors genuinely feel overpowered and it feels unbelievably stacked against you.
The rewards this time are also just AWFUL, we're technically getting 3 full outfits with the twitch drop oni skin, but the ingame rewards feel bloated with icons and banners, things you will never see while playing the actual video game. I do personally like the style of the black banquet, it reminds me of fear and hunger! However, these cosmetics leave so much to be desired. Especially the killer stuff! Its just disappointing how we went from the masquerade which gave masks that were detailed to each character's respective lore and now we have these, yes, interesting masks, but they don't at all carry the same message as their predecessor. I think the shop outfits are okay, but could probably be better. I like that these masks seem more focused on the character's and their actual lore or personality though! However, it does make me worry about the future characters who will and wont get outfits. Not everyone will get an outfit because they'll have double masks and you can't even use a lot of killers since they're licensed and don't get event cosmetics, so I fear that you'll run out of characters. Hopefully your considerations for who gets a full skin broadens to the less popular characters too, it would be disappointing to see the same exact survivors over and over again.
Do better next time. Don't leave killers out and don't make the next banquet absolutely evil for killers. Also stop making survivor so brainless overall and at least try to make killer easier to play and easier to deal with. Killer will obviously be harder than survivor but it feels downright impossible as an amateur because survivors just keep getting buffed with perks or gameplay enhancements etc.
This event being so survivor sided mixed with the already existing magnet of toxicity you gain (personal nitpick) for just queuing killer makes killer genuinely impossible for me in this event and overall, very frustrating and unfun for most killer players, the demographic that is literally necessary for the game to be played lol.
