Disappointment
I'm really disappointed in BHVR.
Their lack of communication (or cherry picking of how or who they are answering) is incomprehendable.
They are tweeting about the Grimoire, the new skin (which didn't get voice lines), a charm or reposting other stuff instead of releasing a statement.
Yes, they did increase the amount of cakes, but only by the minimum, which isn't even close to the previous years.
That combined with this being the 10th year anniversary is just disappointing.

If my partner treated our 10th anniversary with the same steadfast ignoring of everything remotely pertaining to the anniversary or myself, it would go poorly. BHVR has thousands upon thousands of people in this comparison that they've disrespected in this fashion. I'm a bit alarmed to see them do it, but here we are.
Not just ignoring, but also pretending to care.
Agreed—the dishonesty is upsetting and honestly kind of insulting. Like they think we can't handle the truth or something?

I hate to say it but this is par for the course. 2025 was probably the most embarrassing year for the company, in my opinion. 2021 was pretty horrendous and prior years had scandals of their own, but 2025 had them openly show that they were all about unjustly punishing their players while doubling down on issues that have harmed the game since its inception. So to expect a big turn around the following year is really hoping for a lot.
Using this as an example—how many times are we going to tell ourselves that our spouse is just in a bad mood when they disrespect us and discredit us and make us feel like we imagined the things that bothered us? That there's always some justification for how they've treated us? That they're really not like that? That eventually they'll change?
When do we finally decide to call it quits and find someone who treats us well?
