Killer Idea: The Glass Weaver

Ps — Readers

This is a shortened, incomplete version that excludes a custom map and contains less refined details regarding the killer's power, lore, and add-ons.

There is a vast, shimmering abomination stalking my every move, its form fracturing the air like living glass. Similar to a weaver of nightmares, it distorts reality itself, planting seeds of crystalline affliction across the map. Extreme vigilance is essential to avoid the creeping fractures in one's own mind or the clutches of what I've taken to calling "The Shattered One". I have been caught in its realm too many times. Nothing compares to the feeling of the world cracking around me or the sudden, deafening whisper of its approach when it is right behind me. With the Weaver and its Fractal Realm, the battle is constant—between what is real and what is breaking.

The Glass Weaver is one of the Killers currently featured in Dead by Daylight.

He was introduced on 6/28/26.

Overview

Armed with the power to shatter reality, The Glass Weaver specializes in afflicting Survivors with progressive spatial madness. By building the Fractal Fracture passively and using devastating spells, he creates a deadly psychological battlefield that forces Survivors to move with caution. When dealing with The Glass Weaver, ignoring the cracks in reality can prove fatal.

The Glass Weaver is an area-control and mind-game Killer, able to apply pressure across the Map through progressive afflictions and reality-warping mobility.

His personal Perks are: Fractured Mind, Shattered Resolve, and Prism Terror.

Difficulty Rating: Hard

Lore

Little is known of the entity known as The Glass Weaver. It exists between fractured dimensions, a being of pure kinetic distortion that pulls victims into its ever-shifting realm. Survivors who encounter it describe the world itself cracking like glass, with reality bending to the Weaver's will. Those who enter the Fractal Realm rarely escape unchanged.

Unique Perks

Fractured Mind

Your presence warps the minds of those nearby.

Survivors within your Terror Radius suffer from a 5/10/15% increased skill check difficulty and occasional visual glitches on their HUD while repairing or healing.

"The mind cracks first."

Shattered Resolve

You feed on the breaking will of your prey.

When a Survivor fails a skill check within 24/28/32 metres of you, they suffer the Oblivious status effect for 15/20/25 seconds.

"Reality betrays them."

Prism Terror

Your terror echoes through fractured space.

Increases your Terror Radius by 4/5/6 metres. The Terror Radius becomes reversed for Survivors suffering from any stage of Fractal Fracture (louder when far, quieter when near).

"The closer you think, the farther it truly is."

Prestiging The Glass Weaver will automatically add Tier I of his Unique Perks to the inventories of all other Killers and unlock the ability for their higher-tiered versions to spawn in their Bloodweb.

Prestige The Glass Weaver twice more to automatically add Tier II and Tier III respectively into the other Killers' inventories.

Weapon: The Shattered Cleaver

A jagged blade of living crystal, eternally fracturing and reforming.

Power: Fractal Fracture

"A manifestation of shattered reality. The Fractal Fracture spreads across the minds of Survivors, turning the Trial Grounds into a crystalline nightmare."

SPECIAL ABILITY: THE FRACTAL FRACTURE (PASSIVE)

The Fractal Fracture is a passive map-wide pressure mechanic that builds on all Survivors from the start of the trial. It progresses faster when Survivors are injured or performing cooperative actions (healing/repairing).

Visual & Environmental Progressive Stages:

Stage 1: The Flicker — Geometric hairline fractures creep across the Survivor's screen. Light sources cast jagged, unnatural shadows.

Stage 2: Spatial Distortion — The world appears as a desaturated, cracked prism. The Weaver's Terror Radius is reversed for affected Survivors.

Stage 3: The Fractal Realm — Survivor UI glitches and fractures. Survivors permanently suffer Blindness and Oblivious until cleansed. Attempting to heal triggers an instant teleport indicator for The Weaver.

CLEANSE: RESONATING TUNING FORKS

Four crystalline Resonating Tuning Forks spawn across the map. Interacting with one regresses the Fracture meter but triggers Killer Instinct. While interacting, The Weaver can teleport directly to the Fork.

SPECIAL ABILITY: THE SHATTERED ARSENAL (4 SPELLS)

The Weaver cycles through four afflictions via a casting wheel:

Rotting Mire — Splashes liquid obsidian that Hinders (15% slowdown) for 3 seconds and leaves glowing crystalline trails.

Neural Palsy — Short-range shockwave inflicts Exhausted for 5 seconds and reduces vault/pallet speeds by 20% for 12 seconds.

Cataract Blindness — Projectile inflicts Blindness and masks the Killer's red stain/Terror Radius for that Survivor for 20 seconds.

Accelerated Decay — Curses an object: Generators regress 5% instantly + 150% faster; Pallets/Windows get locked/shattered after 1.5 seconds.

SPECIAL ABILITY: RIFT FOLDS (TELEPORTATION)

Channel 2.5 seconds to teleport to any Generator.

Instant teleport to healing Survivors in Stage 3.

Every 30 seconds, leave an Echo clone; swap positions with it to mind-game loops.

Power Trivia

Base Movement Speed: 4.6 m/s

Spell Cooldowns: Vary by spell (balanced around 10-20 seconds).

Teleport Channel Time: 2.5 seconds (Generator).

Tuning Fork Interaction Time: 4 seconds.

Echo Clone Duration: 30 seconds cooldown.

Add-ons for Fractal Fracture

Common

Cracked Prism

A small shard of fractured glass that amplifies early distortion.

Slightly increases the rate at which Survivors gain Fracture progress in Stage 1.

Jagged Edge

A razor-sharp fragment from the Weaver's cleaver.

Moderately increases the Hindered duration of Rotting Mire by 0.5 seconds.

Uncommon

Echo Shards

Resonant fragments that strengthen clones.

Echo clones last 5 seconds longer and have a slightly wider swap range.

Obsidian Droplet

A drop of liquid obsidian used to enhance the Mire.

Survivors stepping in Rotting Mire now also suffer a minor Hindered effect for 2 seconds after leaving the pool.

Rare

Neural Fracture

A crystallized nerve cluster.

Increases the muscle lock duration of Neural Palsy by 4 seconds.

Veiled Prism

A dark, light-absorbing crystal.

Moderately increases the duration of Cataract Blindness by 5 seconds.

Very Rare

Fork Resonance

A tuning fork tuned to the Weaver's frequency.

Tuning Forks take 1 second longer to interact with, but grant the Weaver a 10% Haste for 5 seconds after teleporting to one.

Kinetic Overload

A violently vibrating crystal core.

Accelerated Decay now instantly regresses Generators by 8% and increases regression speed to 175%.

Shattered Echo

A hollow glass duplicate that pulses with unstable energy.

Reduces the cooldown on creating Echo clones by 8 seconds.

Ultra Rare

Iridescent Shattercore

A perfectly iridescent core harvested from the heart of the Fractal Realm.

When a Survivor in Stage 3 attempts to heal, The Weaver's teleport is instant (no channel time) and the healing action is interrupted with a powerful blast that afflicts nearby Survivors with Stage 1 Fracture. Additionally, all Resonating Tuning Forks become visible to the Weaver at all times.
