PTB scoreboard HUD: A new discussion to a universal solution for stealthy killers
ill keep this short, but as i see many people discuss the new TAB menu displaying teammate perk loadouts and the killers power icon, a lot of the criticism stems from being able to see who the killer is straight off the bat. now this has pretty much been normalized via killer powers appearing the moment the trial starts (i.x. onyro, wesker, etc), but SHOULD it be normalized?
I argue this shouldn't be placed in the PTB section, as this discussion is about if dbd should prioritize the aspect of having to find out who the killer is by yourself or if the new board should tell you right then and there.
I've seen someone on twitter use a tierlist to try and figure out why everyone is upset over seeing the killers icon at the very start, and to be honest, the killers that would be impacted most either have their power already displayed on the normal HUD or have a global audio queue exposing their power and who they are as the killer.
It makes sense to question that, and is why I believe that killers displaying their power on the survivors HUD should be tweaked to possibly stay hidden until maybe the power is applied onto them (like plague, krasue, onyro).
