Did Unknown get an update something?

I was facing Unknown and got weakened easy enough just look at him and not get hit...but then I did when his UVX went through me. There wasn't any blast zone meaning it didn't touch the ground since it usually bounces off an object then will have to bounce again but I was being hit by it just going through me. There's no add-on that does it and nothing in the description. So is this a bug? Did Unknown get a silent update? Is just bad luck? Since I never saw the blast zone when UVX goes off I just got hit by it and went down.

    Seems like a bug. Regardless of how the ball ricochets and explodes, the visual indicator of the blast zone should always appear.
