If We Got A Doctor Who Chapter...

…Who would you want to see as killer?

During my rewatch of the show, my old passion for it has reignited, and I've been thinking about a potential Doctor Who chapter. It's iconic horror media, no doubt, so it fits in general… but what killer would you use?

The three most iconic villains of the show are the Daleks, the Cybermen, and more recently the Weeping Angels. There's not no promise here - there are some practical concerns about animations and interactions for the Daleks, and the Angels are probably just a dead end in general, but the Cybermen definitely have some promise - but I'd also like to suggest something a little less expected as a possibility: The Autons.

BHVR tend to pull from the earliest incarnation of a thing where they can, with a few exceptions, and the reboot for Doctor Who started with the Autons as the enemies. They're humanoid, they have a clear weapon, they have a solid basis for different cosmetic options, and they're already mindless drones for a higher purpose so narratively the Entity could hijack them easily.
Maybe not everyone's first choice, and realistically it'd still be the Cybermen most likely, but it's an interesting conversation piece I feel.

What about you guys? Anything you'd want to see over the big three, or some ideas for how to make the big three work better?

  • The Silents or Weeping Angels. Both are bit more horror and less scifi than the other baddies.

In the case of the Angels it would be really cool to have several of them and the killer could teleport between controlling them, making a side task of staring at them for survivors to hold them in place or they can move really fast, as well as requiring a bit of strategy on the killer's part so they don't set up too many Angels in the same spot.

I think Daleks and Cybermen would be alright, but potentially a bit boring.

Imagine the number of cosmetics a Doctor could sell, not to mention the companions.
