Rick can hear michonne screaming with scene partner

so I was playing with my friend he was Rick and I was michonne, and I was running scene partner and every time my character would scream he would hear it as if I was right on top of him which I wasn’t. I switched characters and it fixed it but if I am michonne and he is Rick he will hear michonne EVERY single time she screams if the scream is becasue of the perk. Every other scream work normally
