What really happened to DS and Hatch change?

In 10 days we are exactly 9 months in from the dev stream where they showcased their proposed change to DS and Hatch and both got scrapped due the feedback after that. How is it possible that working solution hasnt been made in these past 9 months to neither of those hot topics?

PS. If my memory serves right the DS change (new one which we didnt even see) was supposed to come with mid patch after Clown. Can somebody enlighten me whats going on?

    Freddy buff is over a year overdue. 
    So don't expect anything soon.

    For the hatch..... bhvr doesn't wanna mess with it because they wanna change end game... for DS.......... Imo i agree with @Vortexas ... most survivors dont want it changed and dont even touch killer so they dont care how it effects the game
