Characters around the fire

Hello,
How can you change the characters around the fire? Or is it just random?

    I think it chooses the last ones you played with or something like that. I main Feng and she's always there.

    The one of the far left will always be the one you have currently selected. The other three are always random between every other Survivor, even the ones you havent unlocked.

    Also, I will take the chance to say I like the new animations. Jeff scratching his butt made me giggle a bit.
