How do I get cross progressions to work?

I've logged into bhvr, linked both steam(much older account id like to get onto PS account) and PS accounts. However when trying to turn on cross progressions for steam, I get to the step where it says to Start Dbd on steam, I check status and it keeps telling me to log into game on steam, but I already am.

Thank you for the help.
