Self Care Change

So the problem with the PTB self care is that using it makes you worse at healing your teammates, which makes teamwork/altruism worse. Self care should be a self sufficient way of recovering your health state.

What self care should be is: You unlock the ability to heal yourself, you are now healed 35%,30%,25% slower.

Using self care on a sloppy butcher hit in the current build of the game takes 40 seconds, that's literally half a generator worth of time. The only other perk that helps you get healed is bond and while it is nice for tracking teammates it doesn't compare with the sheer convenience of healing yourself.

So the questions become as follows:

  • Does healing yourself for 32/40 seconds feel too long? Yes.
  • Will you use self care anyway based on it's convenience (especially in solo que)? Yes.
  • Does this make the pacing of the game worse for everyone? I would say yes.

I would argue that the best part of this game whether you play killer or survivor is the chase, if survivors are immersed and spending a lot of their time hiding and healing and the killer can't find anyone, both sides get hurt by having the game drag on. Less recovery and more chases would help the flow of the game.

TLDR: Self care should heal you faster, but at the cost of teammates healing you slower.

  • Pharmacy is a perk but... it's inconsistent and definitely worse than self care and bond.

  • and how this is fun for the killer. I mean i try it a lot in the PTB and has broken the killer only lost me for 20 sec and when he will find me i will be full heal and ready to use SB

If the killer loses you for 20 seconds they've lost you for 30 seconds, only difference is how much time your hiding and the pacing of the game.
