This self care change is a buff, heres why.

From what I can tell this change would actually buff the perk. Here are two reasons why.

1. It makes healing faster and since most survivors use this perk there is no healing difference for being healed or useing sc

2. With that last point there is no real reason to heal others other than for bp. This means survivors can spend more time doing gens instead of healing

The whole point of injuring more survivors is to waste their time and hopefully down them while being injured. This change would not do that since while survivors do have to heal slightly longer, they all still heal at the same speed without the need to heal each other and as stated in point 2 this would give them more time to do gens.

If you asked me what they should change about self care Id say that all they need to do is put a -25% healing speed to other survivors healing you and keep the current -50% self healing speed we have today. This would punish the player useing self care instead of every other player who encounters a self care user who wants to heal them.

  • With the new SC even without botany knowledge is amazing, then on top of that the gen speed buff on prove thyself, toss in distortion and you got 1 other perk and wowza.

You got a heal station at 20ish seconds, gens get done quicker, you get more bp and an aura blocking ability plus an extra perk of your choice. You pretty much have all the aspects of the game covered.
  • A full team of 4 survivors all using self care pretty much negate the healing nerf of three patches ago that was meant to slow down the game a bit.
I can not agree more with you. This change would just make self care mandatory, since when everyone uses it, they'll progress faster than without, since it's only one survivor instead of two wasting their time on healing. Surprised that some people don't realize that.
With that said, Self Care also shouldn't receive a nerf in my opinion. It's perfectly fine the way it is right now.
