Step 4 : hacker use RCE exploit abused to inject cheats into your machines or installing ransomware software locking up your entire PC.

    It's more likely the same RCE exploits that were used against CS:GO players 2 years ago and that weren't patched in Apex's modified Source Engine. So you can't exploit on DBD

    We don't know REC expoits is in EAC or Source.

    now as player, need to Watch and see what happens.

    There was also a known RCE problem from 4 years ago

    We have investigated recent reports of a potential RCE issue within Easy Anti-Cheat. At this time - we are confident that there is no RCE vulnerability within EAC being exploited. We will continue to work closely with our partners for any follow up support needed
