Sitting behind a killer while he hooks

I often tried to bodyblock the killer lately while he tried hooking someone and he just hook the other survivor with no problems. In the past he couldn‘t get closer to the hook and had to hit me before. So I crouched behind them and often they were confused, why it didn‘t let them hook them.

Does someone know whether it got changed?

    Nothing about this has changed, although it depends heavily on a couple factors. The reason why this happens in the first place is because the spot the Killer needs to moved to is blocked by another player, so:

    1. If they approach the hook from the front, it's unlikely to work since they'll reach that spot and start hooking before you can block it. It's much easier to do if they are approaching from the side since you could potentially squeeze by them and block that spot before they get the prompt to hook the Survivor.
    2. It does not work if the Killer currently cannot collide with you (e.g. if you've just been hit). In cases like this, they can pass through you, so standing in that spot will no longer prevent them from hooking.
    3. The actual spot you need to be in is fairly small and easy to miss.

    TLDR, it's still possible, but it's difficult to do consistently.

    The game has suction hooks and pickups but removed suction pallets years ago.
