Terminology PSA
When people say "slugging for the 4k" they generally mean a scenario where 2 survivors have been sacrificed, a third is on the ground, the killer does not know where the 4th one is but knows they're not nearby, there are multiple gens left, and the killer is searching the map to find the last survivor rather than hooking the survivor they have downed.
I've seen a lot of people reacting to that term as if they believe it means any form of slugging - such as "sometimes you need to slug to generate pressure" - a statement that is technically true and does not apply to, for instance, games with 2 dead and 1 death hook on ground at 3 gens left.
Argue for or against slugging all you want, that's your prerogative, but at least make sure you actually understand what someone is saying before arguing against them
