Blood Warden not reading aura when gates not blocked

I played with Distortion

Killer had Blood Warden

No Distortion stack was removed after opening the gate and being in side the gate area

When the killer hooked another survivor i was in the gate area, the gate got blocked and then distortion stack was removed/aura read.

Later in the game when the gates were free again, no Distortion stacks were removed again in the gate area
