Decisive Strike Bug - Wesker

Whenever I get grabt by Wesker's tentacle decisive strike has no effekt and makes further wiggeling impossible. Is this an intended feature of his m2 or a (known) bug?

I have clipped it but can't upload the clip here ^^' sry

(I'm playing on PC via Steam)
