Stuck at the Keycard Panel on the Alien Map?

Anyone knows if this is possible?

Was trying to help a survivor open the secret room but after a failed attempt (he didnt knew the code) i guess he tried to look it up, but it took him too long and didnt started moving again until i hit him.

And yes, he was in the animation of tweaking with the pad, and even after i went out to close hatch and even halfway into the timer, he still wasnt moving.
