Sometimes when i tunnel the animation takes about 2-4 times as long on my screen so i cant do anything. Seems random

Are you tunneling out of a vent near a hook? It takes longer to tunnel around a hooked survivor.
This is an anti-camping measure to prevent you from camping a hook by sitting in the tunnels under a vent that's near to the hook, similar to how it takes Singularity 4-5x longer to "wake up" when you return control to him from a biopod while he is near a hooked survivor.
