any news on xbox cross progression?

i was going to start playing dbd again on pc until i saw i have to start over, i mean yea i can use my xbox to play but i saw they already have ps epic games and steam but no xbox yet, does anyone know when its coming?

    Last word was they know it's badly wanted by the community, as is for the PlayStations, but they haven't been able to make a deal with Microsoft or Sony that all parties can live with.

    Nintendo Switch was supposed to be done like last September, but that fell through.
