Crashing at loading screen in 50% of games since Nic Cage update

As the title states, I'm crashing at the loading screen in 50% of my games since the Nicolas Cage update. I was not experiencing this prior to the update. DbD is not generating a crash report when this happens. It's just crashing straight to my desktop.

Steam version: 1.0.0.78 flatpak

Compatibility: GE Proton 8-9 (have tried rolling back to 8-6, no change)

GPU driver: Nvidia 535.86.05

OS: 6.4.7-arch1-1

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1800x

GPU: GTX 1080

Memory: 32gb DDR4 3200

I'm not seeing anything odd with my GPU or CPU when DbD is running with nvidia-smi or top running.
