"Light In the Fog" Should be a Yearly Event to Honor Puppers
So on the AMA, you guys mentioned that you were thinking of ways to both remember honor Puppers in some capacity.
I think the best way to do it is by making "A Light in the Fog" a yearly in-game event that has a mission: to help donate to a reputable organization to combat ALS and develop a cure or treatment so that no other person has to suffer the same fate as Puppers in the future.
The event should also be a memorial and could have a statue of Puppers in the background of the lobby, always shining with a luminescent glow to it as if the statue of him were a "light in the fog".
There would be no in-game incentives, so as to make damn sure that people understand that this is a memorial and not some event to earn things in, and to let people actually donate out of the kindness of their hearts rather than for material gain. Anything made for the event could be relegated to codes given out to all players as a show of support from the developers and the community, too.
This is what I think would be best. A month-long annual event that remembers one of the greatest, if not THE greatest members of the community and honors him by letting us help others with ALS.
