Unable to link Epic account to BHVR account

Apologies if this is the wrong place, but the chat bot on the website was running me in circles and I got tired of it.
I'm currently trying to link my Epic Games account to my BHVR account. I get an "Invalid Client" error each time I click the button to link it. I've tried disabling all security in Brave, and I've tried it in Chrome and Edge as well. I've logged into the Epic Version and tried it with the game running.
If I even get past this step, is it still possible to enable cross progression between my Steam and Epic accounts? The chat bot said it was disabled but I've seen conflicting information.
