Heres Why the Nurse & SoloQ Changes are Better Than You Think

I'd like to spotlight two huge reasons why these two specific portions of the latest update are actually benefitting you even if you don't see it yet. Take a dive with me past the surface level and into gigabrain territory

1) Uniformity. Yes I know that historically SoloQ is RNG-roulette and SWF is the easiest role in the game.. However, did you consider the fact that SoloQ & SWF communication being standardized means problematic Survivor gameplay will now be even MORE blatant than it already was? Initially, lower-tier Killers will feel the most pain and BHVR will be pressured to follow-up eventually. Anybody that SoloQ's at any point benefits from this, while Killers should also ultimately benefit from this more since there'll be more consistent trends between each Survivor achetype for BHVR to analyze. This is a win-win. This ALSO removes a huge scapegoat for pretentious underperforming players that would regularly attack random aspects of the game using only anecdotal SoloQ evidence. SoloQ has the info they need now, No more excuses for getting outplayed and underperforming in favorable matches

2) From what we know so far, the Nurse got adjusted not neutered. This shows that at least to start the new year, BHVR has made a conscious effort to somewhat listen to both sides of the community simultaneously which is great. They gave Survivors a Nurse bone (rightfully so) without caving in too hard to either side of the extremes: ("Remove Nurse entirely, Gut her entirely, She's OP basekit" & "She doesn't need any change ever at all, she's perfectly balanced the way she is)

Once again, this gives BHVR a more accurate idea as to what's happening and is a necessary evil for the health of both sides moving forward. Was the Nurse actually broken for the majority, Or were players just underperforming? Was it just specific addons and perks synergizing too well? Is there not enough counter-play for certain things or are people just bad/inexperienced against her and using stuff as a scapegoat? These are questions that are easier to answer now on BHVRs end regardless of what the community unanimously agrees on. We all know the community as a whole can be incredibly biased for either role, BHVR is putting themselves in a better position to handle the magnitude of these balancing acts and I'm here for it. Once again, there is now less room for pretentious players to give bad feedback on sensitive balance topics like Nurse and YOU benefit from it because the actual truth is closer to coming to light
