Fan made Yeti Killer idea!
Full disclosure at the start, this idea is entirely a headcanon of my own design. This design has no bearing on anything the devs plan on making as far as I'm aware. I used some alerady in-game logic based on other killers, mainly Freddy, The Dredge, and Wesker. This idea was actually something that came into my head in a dream, and when I woke up I had to write it down!
The Yeti
Power: Snowfall
The Yeti summons snowfall in trials. All maps will now lightly snow when The Yeti is present. You start the trial with 2 Tokens. Press and hold the power button to activate Snowball.
Special ability: Snowball
While charging, The Yeti moves at a slightly slower pace. There are three levels of charge. Press the Attack Button while charging to Roll Snowball.
Small Snowball rolls 16 metres will put an injured survivor into the Mending State. After rolling a Small Snowball The Yeti suffers a slight slowdown.
Medium Snowball rolls 12 metres and will damage a survivor if it makes contact. After rolling a Medium Snowball The Yeti suffers a moderate slowdown.
Large Snowball rolls 6 metres and will damage a survivor if it makes contact. Additionally, if Large Snowball does not inflict damage before 6 metres, it will come to rest and remain in the trial for 30 seconds without addons. If a Large Snowball is in the trial in this way, consume 1 token. If all tokens are consumed, the first Large Snowball placed this way will be removed from the trial automatically. Pallets in the space occupied by the Large Snowball cannot be dropped. If Large Snowball is rolled into a Dropped Pallet, the pallet breaks. After rolling a Large Snowball The Yeti suffers a considerable slowdown.
• Hitting a survivor with Roll Snowball afflicts them with Chilled.
• Hitting a survivor already inflicted with Chilled increases the level of Chilled.
• Roll Snowball has a cooldown of 6 seconds.
Special Affliction: Chilled
The Chilled affliction builds up by being hit by Roll Snowball. Upon reaching Chilled to the Bone a survivor suffers from the Hindered status effect, reducing their movement speed by -8%. Chilled can be removed by the Warm-up action, which takes 5 seconds when performed alone, and can be done quicker with the help of another survivor.
Special ability: Blizzard
Whenever a healthy survivor is injured, a survivor is hooked, a survivor is afflicted with Chilled to the Bone or The Yeti rolls a Large Snowball, the Blizzard Meter builds. The Blizzard Meter builds faster for every survivor that is injured.
Once the Blizzard Meter is full, Blizzard begins automatically, forcing Survivors to navigate in dense, low visibility snowfall. Blizzard ends after 60 seconds.
During Blizzard, The Yeti benefits from the following effects:
• Large Snowballs will linger until Blizzard ends, afterwards, they will remain for 30 seconds.
• Snowballs now take significantly less time to form.
• The Yeti gains an additional token, maximum of 3 without addons.
• Roll Snowball has a decreased cooldown of 3 seconds.
here's my idea for perks, just cause why not.
Hex: Sheer Cold
If there is still a dull totem on the map, kicking a gen activates the totem, afflicting the gen with sheer cold for 90 seconds. Working on this gen while it is afflicted with sheer cold afflicts you with Chilled to the Bone, revealing the curse sheer cold. Sheer Cold deactivates after 90 seconds, turning the hex totem into a dull totem. If the survivors manage to cleanse the totem, sheer cold deactivates for the remainder of the trial.
Abominable
Upon putting a survivor into the dying state, all survivors within the Terror Radius are afflicted with Chilled to the Bone.
Scourge hook: Snow Sight
At the start of the trial, 4 random hooks are changed into scourge hooks. • The Auras of scourge hooks are revealed to you in white. Each time a survivor is hooked on a scourge hook, the following effects apply:
• For 3 seconds, the auras of all survivors who are repairing gens are revealed to you.
Side note: I was thinking it would be really funny to have a female yeti skin that looks indistinguishable from the regular yeti skin. The joke being that yeti gender markers are completely impossible to distinguish for people. However, some people I talk to thought it would be funnier to go full Wobbuffet and put lipstick and a bow with pink fur, and tbh that also sounds really funny.
