Having trouble with matchmaking.

I have just started playing killer and I am rank 18. I am put with rank 7-12 survivors every game and they are running circles around me. I would not mind normally but it is preventing me from learning or gaining blood points. Is this normal for killer? Is there a specific time I should play? 

I am on ps4 if that matters.

    Until we actually have a reason to rank up and until ranking up actually becomes difficult to do, everything will be a huge troll fest.

    I fully understand what you are saying but I just wanted to know if it is possible to get matched up with people on the same skill level. I do agree though xD

    what bugs me more is waitng 10 to 15 minutes in a lobby to get a 6 minute game
