Why does mending make bandage noises?

Especially in this Endurance meta for Survivors

The amount of times I got found by the Killer because I had to mend before I went down is crazy.

What’s your opinion about it, you also hate it or are you fine with it?

    I think it would be odd if it didn't make any noise base kit, however now that there are so many sources of Deep Wounds that aren't applied JUST from Legion and Slinger, I wouldn't mind a buff to Bite the Bullet that also removes sounds of mending and grunts of pain while mending. (Though, I wouldn't go overboard on introducing too many perks that affect mending.)
