Reassurance - Potential soft counter to *tunneling.*
Now, its pretty widely agreed that Reassurance is going to make camping-focused strategies take a massive hit, and a lot of people are happy to have this be an option for themselves or their teammates to take!
What I want to suggest, however, is that Reassurance is actually going to have some niche value against hard tunneling. Largely, people who are focused on eliminating one survivor will patrol hooks after stray hits or failed chases, hoping to be closer for the unhook so they can catch the trail of the survivor they've targeted.
With a bit of stealth, however, survivors running Reassurance can make it so that they have complete control over when-and under what conditions-they unhook. They can freely retreat from a sudden terror radius, and without committing to the unhook it will be a lot harder for some killers to punish them, even if they have to get within 6 metres of the hooked survivor to do so.
Its a little unintuitive, but leaving the survivor with a target on their back safely* on the hook (*Assuming good timing) could result in MORE pressure against a killer committed to removing them, as if they choose to instead try and focus another person down, the previous target gets a chance to get unhooked and fully reset.
If they choose to keep on target so to speak, however, thats half a minute (if not more with multiple copies of the perk) that they have to spend around one general area of the map.

If survivor is on hook for multiple gens killer will be more likely to tunnel that survivor to secure a kill since they'll be a hook state closer to death.
