Store cosmetic previews bugged?

When you go to the store to check out how a cosmetic piece would look like on the outfit you're currently wearing on your character, they get completely reset to default minus the piece you clicked on in the store.

Is this intended? To fix the cosmetic glitch that can still be done anyway? Either way this is a really dumb change because players will be inclined not to buy anything because they can't see if it looks good on their current fit or not.
