How I play solo survivor! Things that will make me happier!

Before the recent patch I was a killer main with all the killers but after the new patch I found myself being lured into playing survivor to skip the queues and get some nice juicy bloodpoints from the buff. And I have to say I really loved it, the new perks and fun ways to approach the game sent my mind in spirals thinking of new ways to play and overcome games beyond the simple loop mechanic. And I have to say even though I almost exclusively play solo I have consistently escaped far more than I expected I would. I made my way from ash to gold (This is not to say skill this is to say ive played enough to push my mmr if only a little to play harder games) Yet I never felt helpless and I play every game start to finish tunneled or not. I see people are having a hard time remaining motivated to play it through and some in need of improving enough to be more successful on survivor. I cant tell you how to improve but I can show you my mindset and suggest changes that will make me personally feel better, and if it is something others like to then thats fine too :)

I play the game as a real life RP, i've been trapped with 3 random people who all deserve to escape. My goal is to get the maximum amount of people safely out of the game whether that is 4 or even 1 survivor I will of succeeded because they will live on. I understand that it is a team game and I would happily give my life in order to save another or give the oppotunity for others to escape. This means if I am tunneled I will gladly wait on the hook the whole time until I die because if someone gets out I win a personal victory. I understand that perks like DS might not give me the time to survive but the act of being chased, downed into ds and chased again will gain my friends that crucial time to finish the gens and escape. Everything leads to that final goal. My personal "skill" means nothing only the amount of people I can save does, whether they are good or bad. During that game they are my friends and I will treat them as I treat all my friends regardless to their playstyle. This makes every game fun and interesting regardless to how it ends. I can understand not being able to play but imo me existing on that hook and keeping the killer busy IS me playing. Live on my brothers/sisters.

Changes I would like

  1. Tunneling and camping are here to stay at least until there is things that will change that. I personally think the punishment for tunneling/camping is a terrible approach and I believe you should alternatively be rewarded not to do it instead. Perks that reward being in a chase with gen slowing or closing 2-3 gens close to the chase from being done might be a fun change.
  2. I believe wholeheartedly that this is a 4v1 that does not mean me as an individual in a group of 4 but me as part of a team something bigger with the same goal. So I believe every member of the team should be rewarded based on how many escape. 5000 BP per escape each or something similar would not only make it feel more like a team game and promote team play rather than individual but it will also give people a reason to remain on hook while being tunneled because their effort has meaning and has a reward. Noone wants to see 3k score when you had no choice, its a little depressing even for me.
  3. Giving secondary objectives for survivors would be amazing, these dont need to be finished in order for them to escape. But in doing so they increase their rewards and also allow the killer and survivors to gain more practic or feel like they still have a chance. As I feel like improving as the game changes is extremely important to prevent people quitting before they give themselves a chance to get better and see they are just over exaggerating and avoiding change.
  4. A game changing perk, I think that there should be a test perk that when a survivors is hooked they give all their blood to the entity. Once they are unhooked their blood is 0 and a rehook will give little to no blood, but the longer they are off hook and doing gens they regain the blood they lost. Each time the blood of the entity reaches a certain point the killer should gain a powerful buff similar to devour hope. This will inspire killers to target others who have not been hooked preventing tunneling altogether if they wish to utilize the buff. Although camping will still be a problem with trades it can be played around with perks, body blocking and tactics. Even if the trades are made before second stage rotating with the 4 survivors it can still lead to a 4 man escape utilizing the time they have between hook stages to do gens. If this is on a perk specifically then buffing and nerfing the perk itself will make it easier to balance than changing the entire game.
  5. Give the KILLER secondary objectives, as a ex killer main I have had many games where I have stomped the game and the players had no chance whether it was the map or the players made to many mistakes I would end up in a situation where I feel bad and dont know what to do. I feel that giving killers secondary objectives that give rewards would allow them to still focus on the game and allow them to give the survivors another chance this would be a kind and rewarding gesture from the killer. This would also help with games that have DC's whether it is intentional or not. The killer still gets an improved score and the survivors still get a chance at a comeback. The end game would feel alot less toxic because both sides will still gain points without the killer standing around like an idiot waiting for the survivors to get an escape. Again this will give the survivors a second chance and they can focus on honing their skills while excepting that the killer is a person too and wants to offer them a gift.

For now this is all I have but I think some of these changes I suggested are positive ones. People gain rewards for being kind but not because they are forced to be but they are given the option to be. It will allow players to see that either side are both human, and we all want to have fun and both still be rewarded for our choices. Im sorry for making you all suffer by reading such a long post but let me know if you agree or not, or how I could improve on my suggestions. We are all good people so lets have fun together.
